Good News

Dear Caring Faithful:

“Let the little children come to me.”

     This past week, I got a flyer in the mail asking us to post it. It is from the UTZ, telling us about their 4th annual summer bash coming up on Friday July 28th from 10am-4pm. This is a open invite to all families and kids of all ages to go to the outlet store parking lot on that Friday for a festival type day of games, free giveaways and fun. I have seen the crowds that they have had a previous summer kids bashes and know they can get in hundreds of kids.

     That same week, our church is hosting the 3 church Vacation Bible School. We have fun games, free stuff, crafts, snacks, and music. Now wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had hundreds of families coming to this event. But we don’t. Why?

     Utz is better at getting the invite out, they have a public relations department. But so do we, we have each member that can tell or drop off registration forms to neighbors and relatives that have children. Our membership of evangelists is bigger than all of UTZ’s PR department.

     Maybe its because UTZ outlet store is located so central to all of Hanover. Wait a minute, so are we. We even have a bus route that stops right across the street at the Hospital. It can’t get any easier.

     Perhaps it is because UTZ snacks are so good. However what better goodness can you give to children and families in this crazy, terrorized world than the love of God.      

     We have something great to share, lets share that Good news this summer.
