Highlighted This Month

                       Slagle Scholarship

In 2017 we awarded a $750 scholarship to a graduating senior of Hanover or South Western High School who plans to enter the nursing profession, the ministry or other religious work, or attend a vocational school.

This year the St. Mark Scholarship Committee reviewed three applications for selection of the Slagle Scholarship recipient. The 2017 recipient is Samantha Vogel. Samantha graduated from Hanover High School on May 26. She will study nursing at Lynchburg College in Virginia. She hopes to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Serving on the selection committee this year was Nancy Fasnacht, Tom Long, Don Seidenstricker, and Pastor Kirk Griffin. Thank you to all the committee members and to Tim Sell (nephew of the Slagles) for presenting the award.
